Frequently asked questions

  • What is PROA?
  • What is PROA?

PROA is an innovative software designed to improve accessibility in the tourism sector. It offers tools to evaluate accessibility in different tourist places and to find out what improvements we can make in our places to promote inclusion:

    • We work not only from a regulatory perspective, but from user experience, always looking for the positive vision of how to improve our proposals without any desire to supervise.
    • It gives us a picture in real time, which allows us to observe the improvements we make in the places over time, and thus see how we have evolved and improved the accessibility of our tourist places.

PROA It is a first step that allows us to visualize the current state of tourist accessibility on a path that must be traveled together to become a tourist destination for everyone.

  • How it works PROA?
  • How it works PROA?

    1. PROA It works in three steps:

    2. First, companies and public agents who want to work for accessibility and evaluate their own places are registered.

    3. Second, allows users to add and evaluate the accessibility of their tourist places. As many places as they manage, without limitation.

    4. Third, generates, immediately, detailed reports on the level of accessibility of places, highlighting areas for improvement and suggesting specific actions.

    5. It is a key tool for tourism companies looking to improve the experience of their customers.

    6. It is a key tool for tourism companies looking to improve the experience of their customers. PROA is a living and constantly evolving place. This means that if we make improvements to our tourist places, we can update our listings and thus reflect the improvements in the accessibility results.

  • What does accessible mean?
  • What doesaccessible mean?

Accessible, in the tourism context, refers to the ability of a place, service or product to be used and enjoyed by all people, regardless of their physical, sensory or cognitive abilities.

The PROA classifies our places into three categories:

    1. Accessible The places that reach the accessible category are those that are understandable, usable and practicable by all people in conditions of safety and comfort in the most autonomous way possible. A minimum of 75 points out of 100 is required.

    2. Usable These are the places that meet some of the minimum conditions to be used by everyone, but that still have many elements of improvement. These are the places that achieve between 50 and 74 points out of 100 accessible.

    3. Not Practical We are in this category with those places that do not meet the minimum requirements to be able to be used for different tourism needs for everyone.

It is therefore necessary to improve these places in order to make them more inclusive. They are those with results below 50 points out of a possible 100.
